Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

One fine morning, Joel gets ready for his work. He suddenly changes his mind and goes to Montauk where meets a beautiful but impulsive girl called Clementine. Joel first avoids her since he has just come out of a relationship and does not want any confusion in his life. But Clementine follows him everywhere he go and then become an integral part of his life. Joel accepts all odds in Clementine. On Valentine's day, Joel meets Clementine in her office but she refuses to recognize him. She behaves like an absolute stranger. Joel could not handle this pain of weird brake up and then he discovers that Clementine was actually board with his ordinary behavior and personality, so she takes medical help to remove his memories from her life and that is why she does not remember him anymore.

Then Joel decides to follow the same path as well. But in the middle of the treatment of removing memories from brain, Joel realizes that he is in deeply love with Clementine and want at least one memory of her for lifetime. However, he cannot get up and express since he is tranquilized for the treatment. What happens then is an interesting story.



Jim Carrey who is known for his comedy roles, has played a different role in this movie. Kate Winslet has very well played a character of impulsive and aggressive girl. Michel Gondry who is a director of movies like The Green Hornet (2011) and The Science of Sleep (2006), has directed this movie . One very surprising thing in the movie is, in one scene, there are couples of Hindi songs played in the background.
